“Hey Zach, I have been watching your blog for some time and would love to do an interview with you.”
I can say outside of a commission or rank advancement email, getting an email from Erik Christian Johnson a network marketing top producer and mentor to many asking for an interview was one of the most exciting emails I have received! And not just because Erik wanted to interview me, but having followed Erik for some time on his blog ErikChristianJohnson.com I knew we had similar stories with addiction and never let that hold us back.
You see having been in the industry in the late 1990’s and now back for some years and as of October 26th having my blog for a year I have seen many people come and the one thing most people don’t know is why we really get into network marketing or MLM, Yes, some get in because they see big checks, easy money, and other garbage like that, but those are the ones that fail quick! When a person gets in with a true reason they succeed because of their WHY and their desire to be successful.
Most people who know me don’t truly know why I got into network marketing and gave up a lengthy career in EMS. I think Erik nailed it with his opening sentence:
Zach Loescher was a stressed-out EMT fighting addictions when he discovered Network Marketing.
That truly nailed it! And as Erik went on to say
Many network marketing leaders want to sweep that kind of dark side under the rug, but you used it to empower others and yourself inside network marketing.
And with that statement, I truly believe that is part of the stigma with our industry, many people, leaders included want to make it all pretty and shiny! Well, sure some just up and leave nice cushy corporate jobs for network marketing, but when you look at the many people who get into network marketing daily, we all have our stories! And true stories about YOU are what really show we are real people changing lives and creating successful lives!
