MLM’s Come And Go, Are You Recession Proof?
We all have heard of the word recession, we all associate a recession with hard times, lower incomes, and unemployment most likely, right? You know like in December 2007 when unemployment hit a national high of 10% or maybe you remember the one back in 1982 that hit a high of 10.8% or going even farther back the Great Depression saw unemployment at 24.9%! But, ask yourself this question “is what I am currently doing right now, recession proof?” The United Sates has had as many as 47 rescessions dating back to 1790.
What if your current status isn’t recession proof? Do you have a back-up plan for it? The United States has averaged a recession every 4 years 2 months since the Great Depression, our last was December 2007 till June 2009 so if history repeats itself the United States is due. So, what are you doing about it? What is your plan B?
What happens if you are in a networking business and a recession hits or worse yet your networking company closes? Did you know most networking companies last only two to five years? Kind of ironic a rescission hits every 4 years! I could easily sit here and list the ones that have closed in the last year, what happened to those network marketers? Well, if they were smart networkers they were working their Plan B which in turn helped build their Plan A! So, they simply found a new Plan A!
But wait, you’re probably sitting there going “No Zach, may plan A is helping build my plan B. Not the other way like you said!”
Well, if you are thinking A to B then you are not recession proof! Plan B is Branding! Are you branding YOU Inc.? You see when you have built YOU Inc. in to a reliable and trustworthy image, then Plan A will naturally follow your Plan B!
People want to follow a person, a leader that they know, like, and trust! Is that the image you have on your social media platforms? If a person would go to any of your marketing platforms would they see YOU Inc. or just your products or service? Need some refresher trainings on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, maybe Prospecting or blogging to build your brand, YOU Inc.?
You see, by building a brand around you and giving off valuable content and leading by example people will naturally follow you and approach you about your business. YOU Inc. has become a brand that people are looking for, not you looking for people!
People look for a person that is an authority in their niche,
A person that provides help when a person is struggling.
A person that can solve a problem instead of sale the next best product.
When you brand YOU Inc. you become a searchable image by providing consistent and valuable content to your audience. Your brand, like www.ZLoescher.com becomes who you are known for, you literally become recession proof by building your Plan B before your Plan A!
So, now be honest with yourself and ask yourself are you recession proof? Many marketers think they are until it happens to them! Would you current image, your current brand be able to sustain you?
