IFTTT Saving You Serious Time Blogging

What the heck is IFTTT you’re asking? Well it’s the abbreviation for “If This Then That” and it allows you to connect multiple channels such as Twitter, Pinterest, Bitly, Facebook, etc. together through the use of triggers and actions, called recipes. Currently there are 120+ different channels to choose from ranging from everyday known apps like Facebook to not so common ones like Readability. Sound confusion? Well, as I will show you in my video demo it is rather simple to set-up and once you have your recipes built, its hands free operations when your trigger action is triggered!

Once you have your desired Channel connected (let’s say WordPress). You can set up the trigger, so when I post to WordPress then that triggers this action (where it posts) with a given ingredient(s) (what it’s going to post) then this is called a recipe. Pretty straight forward once its set-up.

Let me take you through a quick IFTTT demo:

So, now after watching my IFTTT video walk through it is simply a matter of you following the process in IFTTT and creating a recipe for each of the other social media channels you use. And I would suggest setting up once you also do not have, more syndication is always best! Once this has been done, you now have multiple recipes set-up on IFTTT that will syndicate any new blog post content automatically when you update your trigger points!

How is that for saving you time? One other recipe I would highly suggest on IFTTT is using YouTube as a trigger as well! We all know that video marketing is blowing numbers out of the water, so grab a piece of that pie as well and use IFTTT to syndicate your videos too!

IFTTT will save you some serious time, as I know going site to site was a pain in the rear and time-consuming as well!
