Are You Worth It? An Entrepreneur’s Mindset
Well, that is a pretty straight forward question and some will perceive it as harsh. But, think about it! Are YOU worth it? You see if you read that and had to think about it, I would guess that you have some mindset and goals that you need to work on and define better. If you read that and said YES or even better HELL YES! Then you most likely have already implemented some form of personal development and mindset training and have found where you want to be and believe in yourself already!
As an entrepreneur we are continually questioned about our worth and if we are going to make it a living! Many people, including your family may not be supportive in the beginning and even well into your new decision to be an entrepreneur. As for most, they lack the mindset to be an entrepreneur and have settled for being controlled by a job versus setting their own schedule.
Being an entrepreneur our mindsets are much different from that of others that are punching the clock! You have to invest in yourself and your business to grow, we have to learn the newest technology and tricks to continue to get maximum exposure, and we have to be able to teach that to our team as we become looked at as a go to expert in our given niches.
We have to decide our worth from the second we start our business, being an entrepreneur there is no “let me test this out.” When you test anything out, you already have the preconceived notion it will not work. You already have essentially set yourself up for failure because you will not be giving it 100%! When you come in and say I am going to give this (a set goal) and my all, then you will see success because you have already then decided you want to make it work for you!
The biggest difference I see between and employee mindset and an entrepreneur mindset is education! An entrepreneur is always looking for another way to solve a problem they encounter and looking for a mentor or a training that will help them solve that problem and therefore become even more successful in their given niche. An entrepreneur set’s aside time for personal development and look to attending live events and webinars to further their education. Entrepreneurs know that today’s education and growth will pay off in the long-term and create residual income.
An employee is going to clock in and most of the time only put out the effort needed to complete a given task in the time told or enough to stay ahead of the next employee behind them. An employee most likely is not going to look for further trainings or education unless they are getting compensated for it. An employee’s outlook is right now and how will it help me, most are looking for instant gratification and entitlement.
You see these two mindsets are almost completely opposite, one you are making your future what you want it to be and the other you are being told how your future is going to be. Being an entrepreneur you are able to determine your worth and not be told your worth! Go out and make your future what you desire! Change your mindset and set your goals high!
