Read that title again and really ask yourself which you are? If you are just in for a paycheck then you will never become successful entrepreneur or in your given career! If you are willing to learn and take on the task of being a student and continually learning then you are more than likely to have a good success rate!
So many people jump into entrepreneurship or even a career thinking it will be easy, that they will make all this money, and people will respect them! WRONG!! If your only focus is anyone of those, you will fail! If all you are focused on is a paycheck at the end of the week or month, more than likely you will never reach success, let alone earn any respect from your peers!
You see, if you want to be successful in any career or even in life for that matter, then you are going to have to be willing to learn your trade or niche and continually be a student of your trade! As an entrepreneur we are always learning through personal development, courses, live training, and events. With my 20 years in Emergency Medicine if I wasn’t continually doing continuing education for my certification not only would I lose my job, but also my certification? But, would you really want someone who is not up to date with current medicine to be treating you or a family member?
See, that is exactly the same for any career, would you want to be mentored by someone who is just plain lazy and only getting by for their paycheck or would you want a mentor that is teaching you the latest technology out there and how to utilize it in your field?
We all have the decision to make and we are the only one that can decide if you are serious about your career path or if you are just going to be that person that is only looking for the next paycheck. What are you going to choose?
