Are You Jumping Ship In Hopes Of Greener Grass?
I know if you have been in networking long enough you know at least one person that you saw jump ship to a new company on the promise of more pay, more leads, a bigger team, or whatever the reason! A lot of the time these are the people who were “All In” or maybe “I’m XYZ For Life” or any of those sayings. But, then one day pouf their resigning and with a new company in a flash.
A lot of the time this has nothing to do with a company or even their leadership (upline) and it has more to do with the person and their mindset. You see in any type of business you are only as good as your mind will allow you to be. Without the mindset to grow and develop your skills as a leader then you will only be as good as you allow yourself to be. No one can hold your hand into a top producing spot and no one can be a leader in your team without you leading first.
So, how can you keep that fire you had on day one and grow your mindset into becoming a successful entrepreneur? Here are 5 tips to stop jumping ship time and time again:
- Find Your Passion – What is your passion? What is your why? When your passion about your business and your why are strong enough nothing will stop you from reaching your goals.
- Do Not Rush Into Business – Take your time and make sure the business fits your passion and aligns with your needs. Many people run into a business and later find out it doesn’t fit their style and end up starting over in a new business or jumping ship.
- Personal Development – What are you doing to grow you as a person? Personal development is one of the most important factors in building you mentally. Get on motivation calls or webinars, read daily, and network.
- Follow Leaders – What are your industry leaders doing? Find mentors and leaders In your niche market and follow their trainings and implement their strategies to grow your business,
- Share Your Story – Stories sell, what is your story? People want to hear about real life stories that they can relate to and associate with. Paint your picture, just like my journey from addiction to today, what is your story?
I hope you find those 5 points helpful when times get rough. Take a minute and regroup your thoughts and look back at number one, find your passion. Instead of just jumping ship, game plan your business and set your goals, you will not be the first person or the last one that regroups in their business and hits restart! Go after your Why!
