We all know Twitter is a social media giant for quick little blurbs with hundreds of millions of people per day jumping on. With Twitter having about a billion total registered users and with approximately 46% of users jumping on daily! And over 29% of users checking their accounts multiple times per day you have access to millions of people to give value to!

As networkers we are always looking to expand out networks and connect with people outside our given locations and around the globe, did you know 77% of users are located outside the US? Using Twitter can easily get your brand out to thousands and even millions of people easily and setting up your twitter account can make you a serious following.

Just like other social media platforms Twitter allows you to use images and on those images can get you double the engagement of a regular text post. Twitter images also have 150% more retweets, 89% more favorites, and 18% more click-through rate than a regular tweet!

So, now that you know a few facts about using twitter how about we talk about gaining followers to help build your brand. First twitter does have so implemented features that control how fast you can follow other users. With that being said depending on where your current account is, if you have less than 2,000 followers it will not allow you to follow more than that. So, a great way around this is to use the program Tweepi. Tweepi is a free and paid service that allows you to see who is not following you, who is inactive, and others ways to break down those you are following. I use their “Silver” package ($7.49/month) that lets me see more options to either follow or unfollow people. Using this service will let you remove those that are not following you to free up space for you to follow more people while you are under 2,000 followers. Once you get above that 2,000 followers Twitter loosens up their restrictions on your account.

Another amazing tool to set your twitter account on fire is Crowdfire! Crowdfire has some of the features that Tweepi does but, their biggest bonus feature is automated responses to your new followers. This feature that is FREE can be a huge benefit to you to provide value open a line of communication and to also provide your new follower with a free tool to help them! Using Crowdfire can easily get you numerous leads per day from an automated system and a few short minutes a day following new people.
