Are You Actively Pushing Your Prospects Away Without Knowing It?
Really, stop and think about that again “Are you actively pushing your prospects away?? I bet a lot of you said No I’m doing good! Well, I know for a fact I can jump on a good portion of my connections social media sites and within seconds know what company you are with, without even looking to hard!
You see, you are pushing those away with how you have perceived you are marketing to them via your social media. People are not getting on social media to be sold the next and best product or service; they got on there because they are social sites to interact with their family, friends, co-workers, and others. Not to be blasted by this product or service or this one over and over again!
Many social sites have started blocking or even banning people for not following their rules and regulations. YouTube has been increasing their compliance with completely shutting down people channels. Facebook has made people change their names to a true name instead of business or nick names. Facebook will also throw people into “Facebook Jail” for spamming or posting repetitively in too many groups. Twitter has also got in the game and ha set limits on the number of new people you can follow and unfollow in a day now.
So, now you’re asking how can I get around these and not find out the hard way, right? Well, Facebook is an excellent tool to gain followers for your business or fan page with their Facebook Ads. You can literally get leads for pennies on the dollar when done correctly! Facebook Ads has been a gold mine for many industry leads in various fields that rely on leads and traffic to their sites! With Facebook Ads you are able to target specific geographical area, age groups, and many other targets. Twitter and YouTube also have great ad programs to gain leads and sales without any negative consequences as well.
So now you are keeping your prospects, what do you do with them? Do you have a capture page or blog you are sending your prospects too? Are you capturing all their information in a CRM or Email Autoreponder? If you said no to either of those then you are losing money already!! Those two tools are your personal ATM!! A simple way to use your social media sites is to drive traffic to your blog or capture page, by providing value and helping the person with the problems they are currently experiencing. If you provide a solution for their problems through value and building a relationship they will continue to follow you and also more than likely also repurchase or upgrade as well.
Make sure you are not pushing your prospects away with spammy posts and affiliate links all over your social media! Give them a reason to follow you and engage with you! Set prospects up to be pushed to your ads and opt-in to your email lists!
