Today let’s talk about copywriting versus cut and paste marketing.

I see so many people on social media lately that are just cutting and pasting what somebody else has done or what their company has put out there for them and its horrible guys. It’s not you, it’s not your story. Most of the cut and paste, all it is about the company. This goes back to branding yourself.

What’s going to set you apart? You know, when you go out there and cut and paste about the holiday special or why to join now, you know, if you’re in the travel business, the skin care, the health fitness, weight loss, hundreds of things are out there. When your company puts something out, make it yours. Copyright it so that its original to you. People want to get to know, like and trust you and you can’t do that when you copy and paste. Yes, that is one of the easiest things in the world to do, obviously. It takes no time and no energy at all and we can do it in five seconds.

When you copyright, it’s yours. It’s original to you. It’s not original just to the company, its original to you, you inc. and you your brand. That’s what you want to be about guys. That’s what people want to see. They want to build a relationship with you. They don’t want to build a relationship with somebody that can cut and paste or somebody that’s good at using their company material. They want to get to know, like and trust you and they want to know why they’re going to do business with you. When you build that relationship based off of your story, off of why they should do business with you, because of your brand and what you’ve done, then you’ve got a relationship and a business partnership for years to come. Where, if you look at the cut and paste, it might sound exciting then, but in a month or two … say New Year’s resolution, they’re done in January or February because there was no bond built.
You can say, “Yeah, you can cut and paste and you can build relationships,” but why not start out building that relationship versus off of junk marketing? It’s really crap marketing is all it is. Get out there and use your original stuff. You can use the cut and paste that you thought about as a guideline, but make it your own story. Make it about you, don’t make it about the company or whoever you took it from. Make it about you.

Guys quit the copy and paste marketing. Get out there and start copywriting your own content. Build your own brand, make you inc. You Inc. will last forever or as long as you want to work. The company or the brand that you represent may not be here January 1, 2017, or it may six months from now. You never know, but when you build your brand with your original material, it works wonders, guys.
