You know what I’m talking about! If you have been in or even looked at a network marketing, you’ve heard this!
Your family and friends are all happy and supportive when you go and drop $10,000 if not $100,000’s to open a franchise or brick and mortar business. But, the second you mention you are stating in a network marketing company you are given the cold shoulder and most likely are on the receiving end of negative comments and jokes.
I’d almost guarantee that you hear “I tried that” or “those are scams” or “That pyramid thing” maybe even ” That’s a cult” LOL But, what makes how they treated their networking marketing business the same as how you will run yours? Absolutely nothing!

When we get these responses from family or friends or even strangers it really is just showing their lack of education about the business industry as a whole! There is NO difference between a brick and mortar business versus a network marketing business except you own your business.
Corporate / Brick & Mortar
Let’s take a quick look at a normal corporate or brick and mortar business structure. Correct me if I am wrong there is an owner/CEO and next maybe President, then maybe a vice president. Next up maybe middle management, then directors and supervisors, then the hard-working hourly employee. Does that sound familiar as any typically business structure whether it’s Apple, McDonald’s, or your local business. While your smaller businesses may not have all those positions it is still structured the same way, maybe with one person wearing more than one hat.
In this business model the top person it dictating how hard a person below them work, when they work, for how long per day they work, they even tell the person when to take a break, when to take lunch, and when they can have time off! In this model you are a prisoner of the JOB you have! Here there is almost no chance of making it to the top!
Network Marketing
Now, looking at a networking business model. See you start with yourself at the top now and then you go get other people to work below you as well just like the above model, BUT here each and every one of those people below you OWN their own business as well. They are not just working hard for the top guy or gal. They are working hard because it’s their business too!
With this business model, YOU set your hours, you set when you work, you set your schedule, you are your own boss! Don;t get me wrong, many people without personal development will have a hard time starting out and maintaining their schedule to run a success network marketing business. Network Marketing is designed to help you get to the top!

You see, the ONLY difference comes down to who is telling you what you can and can not do! Outside of the name there is almost nothing different with the business structure except YOU have the option to be your own boss in network marketing and YOU decide your income!
