How A Simple Sales Funnel Will Set Your Business On Fire
I would guess that it is pretty safe to say well all want to close more sales, right? But, marketing can have your head spinning circles with your website or blog, SEO can be confusing, and social media can easily become time-consuming for you and distract from your true sales plan.
When we think about sales funnels (AKA Revenue funnel or sales process), they have been around since basically the beginning of business. With the internet coming around the sales funnel has had a drastic make over from what could be done with print or television funnels. The internet has opened many doors for marketers to use funnels throughout the web. But, he purpose of a sales funnel had never changed and is always to attract viewers to your blog, special offer, or product with a lead in.
The First or largest part of the sales funnels is the lead generation section. Here you will see I have it split into three section for today’s market:
- Social Media Marketing – With social media marketing this is one of the bigger areas people start using when they first get started. But, this is also an area that al lot of people struggle in as they are not properly how to market in this area
- Search Engine Marketing – This area can be a gold mine when set up properly using many SEO techniques that can run literally on autopilot once implemented.
- Email Marketing – Email marketing can be your goldmine when you are building a list to target certain markets.
The second part is where you direct your leads to create a higher conversion through a capture page or website/blog. This is where you can lock in your potential prospects with even more valuable content about you and your niche through your blog, website, or capture pages. Capture pages are an excellent way to give product or specific information to potential prospects. Whether it’s a product launching or an existing product you can give your viewers a more detailed overview to them here. With your blog or website you are leading them on your site to provide them with valuable content and to build a relationship to assist in problem solving with their issues they face.
The third phase is the system follow-up or email autoresponder system. Here once they become a lead you are automatically emailing them your predetermined follow-up series of email. There are many autoresponder systems available; I personally use Aweber for all of my automated emails. Email lists need to be actively engaged if leads are going to progress along the sales funnel. Providing updates, product information, free trainings, or even an unexpected gift for new subscribers, are examples of engaging your email campaigns.
And the final and as we all like to see the best part, the closing of sales! This is simply where everything we have talked about above comes to fruition and you close sale, after sale due to your sales funnels having an appealing and engaging aspect to them. This step can literally be a personal ATM for you and your business.
When it comes to sales, success is all about finding prospects that are ready to become paying prospects, but it’s also about moving those prospects through the conversion process while separating them from other, lower-quality, undecided leads. So take the time to review your sales funnel step by step, because if your funnel is having a negative effect on your business, it may be time for a redesign.
